This hourlong documentary follows three activists from socially conservative countries in their efforts to better the lives of their fellow lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) citizens by seeking elected office. They put themselves in harm’s way to expedite positive change. Will they find support from a general public who may be hostile toward what they represent? Will they succeed to improve LGBT lives in their countries, or will their efforts backfire? Can they personally survive the attacks—both verbal and possibly physical—that will surely come their way?
