Troop 1500 Sequel [working title]

This film follows the girls of Troop 1500—all children of incarcerated mothers—over 10 years as they struggle to break the cycle of crime in their families. An estimated 2.4 million children have incarcerated parents, and the daughters are six times more likely than other girls to land in prison themselves. This film revisits the former Girl Scout troop members six years after the first Independent Lens broadcast and answers the most-often-asked question from the original film: What happened to these girls?
