For centuries, Hawaiians sustained an abundant fish supply by taking only what they needed. In the last decade, however, Hawaii’s fisheries have collapsed along with the rest of the world’s fish stocks. The producers seek to find out why the fish are disappearing and to learn from the folk wisdom of Native Hawaiians who live off the seas how to protect and restore marine resources.
