NPT will expand its comprehensive cross-platform Next Door Neighbors initiative, which uses digital media to create a community dialogue about racial, ethnic and national-origin diversity. This project will include the production of two new documentaries on immigrant communities (Sudanese and Coptic Egyptian or Asian), expansion of the project website including immigrant citizen journalists and story tellers, implementation of literacy workshops and community engagement conversations.
The project will also provide training for public media professionals to implement large, multiplatform local service initiatives.
