Capitol News Connection (CNC) provided public radio stations with localized multimedia news from Congress. Its producers sought to help listeners understand the issues taken up by their lawmakers and to reflect local voices in the policy debate at the national level. This six-month grant was to maintain production of CNC’s localized journalism while the organization transitioned to a new business model to promote long-term sustainability. CNC was to create a business plan that would outline strategies needed to achieve long-term financial health, including a realignment of its pricing and content-creation priorities. CNC was also to digitize its content distribution in order to increase accessibility and efficiency.
