Fiscal Year 2005
Public radio serves listeners through a variety of programs and formats. The news/talk format has increased in audience in recent years, and CPB has made significant investments that have supported that growth. Music formats are equally important components of public radio which require significant investment in order to reach their public service potential.
Under this RFP, CPB will invest up to $1 million in music programming initiatives, drawing from the approximately $6.4 million available in 2005 for funding national programming projects in radio.
Music or music-related programming proposals that were submitted to an earlier 2005 Program Fund RFP will be moved to the pool of applications for this RFP, unless the applicants are otherwise notified. Applicants may choose to update their proposals by August 8, 2005, or leave them as originally submitted.
