Rising Stars Managing Producer

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) seeks applications from organizations (Applicant(s)) to manage the Rising Stars Radio contest (Contest) and produce related multi-media content, including a two-part radio series. The Contest will use hip hop as a platform to engage youth ages 12-20 years old (Target Audience) around one of the most challenging issues of our time, the national high school dropout crisis (Crisis). The Contest will seek to spotlight the best socially conscious hip hop and spoken word talent conveying a positive message about overcoming the Crisis and provide an opportunity for young people to share their academic experiences. Final contestants will be rewarded with a chance to perform in front of a live audience and/or prizes that encourage academic achievement.

American Graduate Strategic Advisor

CPB is requesting proposals from firms to provide strategic advice to CPB to advance and support CPB's American Graduate initiative. American Graduate: Let's Make it Happen ("American Graduate") is a multi-year public media initiative, to assist public media stations and organizations in identifying and implementing solutions to address the high school dropout crisis in their local communities.

2012

Strategic Education Consulting Services

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is seeking proposals from firms to provide strategic education consulting services to expand and advance CPB's overall education goals. CPB seeks proposals from persons or firms to:

  • provide CPB with counsel, guidance and recommendations to inform CPB's education portfolio in key areas of education, including early childhood, k-12, dropout prevention & youth engagement, English Language Learning, and workforce education;
  • provide CPB with the necessary information to remain current on new trends in education and on federal and state education policies;
  • provide CPB with up-to-date information on upcoming education grant programs;
  • review the national and local education services provided by public media and make recommendations on how best to aggregate this information to highlight what works best, ways to scale work and best methods of communicating impact;
  • assist CPB with appropriate and effective messaging about public media's education initiatives;
  • attend and participate in national education meetings

Strengthening Education Reporting

CPB seeks to enhance the capacity of public radio stations and national radio production organizations to create high quality multimedia journalism on important topics in education. CPB is seeking grant proposals for innovative original reporting that highlights challenges and solutions in American communities as they provide education in the 21st century. In particular, CPB seeks to support public radio stations and national producers in the creation of content that aligns with the American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen initiative, which addresses the high school dropout crisis in our country.

Content Manager for American Graduate Website

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is seeking a content manager to act as managing editor for americangraduate.org, to procure relevant information for the site, and manage the related social media channels.

CPB seeks proposals from individuals or organizations to assist it in the strategic development and implementation of CPB's Diversity and Innovation Fund and American Graduate Initiative.

Cross-Departmental Communications Consultant to Increase Support and Awareness of Public Media Projects

CPB seeks a Communications Consultant to drive viewership and awareness of crucial cross-departmental public media projects. Individual will provide public and media relations counsel and support to CPB, as needed, for the American Graduate initiative and other CPB programs.

American Graduate Website Design and Implementation

CPB seeks the services of a website development firm to develop a graphic design, create an information architecture, build, and maintain the American Graduate website.
