American Archive Content Inventory Project Manager

The objective of this Request for Proposals is to solicit proposals from individuals and organizations from both the non-profit and the private sector to begin a system-wide video and audio asset inventory of Public Broadcasting. The content inventory will entail the physical inspection, viewing and classification of assets by specific categories including rights information. The goal is to inventory at least 75,000 hours of public media content through this program over the next eighteen (18) months.

American Archive Initiative Manager

The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit proposals to be the Initiative Manager of the American Archive Pilot Program. The Initiative Manager, working in close consultation with CPB, will coordinate and support the development, execution, and evaluation of grants to public television and radio stations for the collection, coding, digitization, and possible restoration of existing content.

American Archive Legal Consultant

CPB seeks proposals from individuals and organizations in the intellectual property community to assist in the publication of a "White Paper" that will provide an operational legal framework for the distribution of audio and visual assets resident in the nation's public media archives.

Analysis of Super Why! Summer Camp Data

This Request for Proposals is for a person or firm to enter and analyze pre- and post-test assessment data from approximately 1,600 preschool children who participated in 80 Super WHY! Summer Camps and provide a written analysis of the assessment findings.

Assessment of Public Broadcasting Outreach

As one of many steps CPB is taking to build the journalistic capacity of public radio and television stations, CPB is seeking an organization or individual ("Service Provider") to undertake a count of the number of journalists currently working within public broadcasting.

Minority Report to Congress Consultant

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is seeking a consultant (Consultant) to assist in the creation of several Congressional reports. The first report is CPB's annual report on the provision of services to minority and diverse audiences by public broadcasting and public telecommunications entities (Minority Report). For the second report, Consultant will interview between five (5) and ten (10) key minority leaders and, based on those interviews, create an assessment which identifies the current needs of minority public broadcasting audiences (Assessment Report). Finally, Consultant will combine the Minority and Assessment Reports into a single comprehensive report (Final Report). The objective in creating the Final Report is to develop a creative and innovative style document for distribution over traditional and various non-traditional platforms, e.g. via email and CPB's website.

Multi-Project Evaluation

This Request for Proposals is for person or firm to conduct evaluations of three Public Broadcasting Service ("PBS") TeacherLine courses for childcare providers and early childhood educators and three technological enhancement projects to improve and augment their outreach to young children and their caregivers. This project is time sensitive and must be completed no later than September 14, 2010.

Nonprofit Corporate Legal Services

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting ("CPB") seeks legal advice on a range of nonprofit corporate matters for a period of 3 - 6 months, including corporate governance (by-laws, board/management ethical considerations and responsibilities), contracts, creditors' rights and compliance with the District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporations Act.
