2012

Strengthening Education Reporting

CPB seeks to enhance the capacity of public radio stations and national radio production organizations to create high quality multimedia journalism on important topics in education. CPB is seeking grant proposals for innovative original reporting that highlights challenges and solutions in American communities as they provide education in the 21st century. In particular, CPB seeks to support public radio stations and national producers in the creation of content that aligns with the American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen initiative, which addresses the high school dropout crisis in our country.

Ombudsman for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

This Request for Proposals seeks competitive proposals from candidates for the position of Ombudsman for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

2010

Services for African American Public Radio Stations

CPB seeks proposals from individuals or organizations for the planning, development and immediate implementation of services for public radio stations identified as African American public radio stations under CPB's Community Service Grant minority qualification (including stations licensed to Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

2008

Latino Public Radio Program Service for Los Angeles

CPB seeks to increase public service to Latinos in the Los Angeles market by supporting development and piloting of a new public radio program service targeted to reach a defined segment of the Latino population.

2007

Election 2008 Initiative

CPB seeks to fund a public media demonstration project focusing on the 2008 elections. The successful project will be national in scope and will embrace cross platform approaches to provide content, tools and interactive experiences that will result in a more informed, engaged electorate.

2007 Public Radio Program Fund

The Program Fund has available approximately $7.7 million to invest in national programming projects. CPB is targeting several strategic areas for program investment. The areas targeted present opportunities to further the mission of public radio, increase service on new media platforms and differentiate programming.

2006

Radio Major Market Service Extension Project

CPB Radio seeks proposals from major market stations for bold programming, development, distribution and other activities. Awards will be based on potential service improvement and ability to achieve other priorities such as increased service to underserved audiences.

2006 Public Radio Program Fund

Funding for specific types of programming: Coming Up Next... Public Radio Talent Quest, National News, Talk, and Information Programming, Music Programming, and Producer's Choice.
