Latino Public Radio Program Service for Los Angeles
- CPB seeks to increase public service to Latinos in the Los Angeles market by supporting development and piloting of a new public radio program service targeted to reach a defined segment of the Latino population.
American Archive Executive Summary Booklet
- Developing a communication that includes an executive summary of the first phase of the American Archive and an expectation about our next steps, which can be distributed to the public broadcasting system, other key stakeholders, and the general public.
2009 Radio Community Service Grants
- The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is opening an application window to consider new station applicants to its Community Service Grant program, and is prepared to allow 15 new entrants into the program in FY 2009 (beginning October 1, 2008).
Public Radio Major Giving Plan Project Administrator
- CPB is requesting proposals from qualified organizations and/or individuals to administer and implement a Major Giving Plan for public radio stations.
Scan of Current Digital New Media Activities Within Public Broadcasting
- CPB seeks an objective scan of public broadcasting's existing activities in terms of digital new media content and use of related technologies, in order to help determine how and to what extent the public broadcasting organizations are using new media tools to provide services to the general public and to teachers and students in formal education.

CPB Scholars Work-Study Scholarship Program
- CPB recognizes the importance of attracting talent to public broadcasting and cultivating the range of voices, backgrounds, cultures, and ideas within the industry. Accordingly, CPB has developed a work/study scholarship program in partnership with the Emma Bowen Foundation, an organization that facilitates minority student placements within the media industry.
Digital Transition Assistance Program Scholarship
- CPB is offering travel scholarships to qualified applicants to help defray the cost of attending the next Digital Transition Assistance Program (D-TAP), which will be held on September 16, 2008 in Austin, TX.
Digital Radio Conversion Fund
- CPB-qualified radio stations are eligible to apply for a digital conversion grant of up to $75,000 per transmitter to be converted ($85,000 for minority and rural stations).
My Source Community Impact Awards
- The My Source Community Impact Awards are designed to recognize and showcase examples of local public broadcasting's connection to community. CPB will honor awardees at the 2009 National Leaders Meeting.
Digital Radio Conversion Fund
- The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, with guidance from the Digital Consultation Panel which is comprised of leadership from public radio and television membership organizations and representatives of the station community, has recommended an additional allocation of funds for the conversion of digital radio transmitters. Transmitter conversion grants are Priority I for the radio digital conversion fund.
Public Media Innovation Fund Round Three
- Round Three of the Public Media Innovation Fund will focus on new media sustainability by distributing as much as $200,000 in grants of up to $50,000.
