The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is hereby announcing a Request for Proposals for a research firm to conduct formative research with children ages 3-5 from low-income environments, as more fully described herein, to test children responses to twelve individual interactive games as they relate to preliminary indicators of reading impact (e.g., appeal and navigation). The Games were developed based on children's programming currently aired on PBS KIDS including Sesame Street, Between The Lions, and SUPER WHY!. Producers are interested in the selection process of the Games -- why children choose the particular Games they want to interact with, and they are also very interested in children's response to the incorporation of video as video is provided as a reward for finishing particular Game sequences.
