The deadline has been extended to May 30, 2008.
Public broadcasting stations are uniquely situated to provide their communities with outstanding coverage of local issues, challenges, conflicts and opportunities. To that end, the 2008 election cycle presents a great opportunity for Stations to assert their importance and prominence in the American media landscape. CPB will support Station efforts to meet this opportunity by producing original and dynamic broadcast Content that will inform viewers about issues relevant to the November 2008 elections.
CPB will award grants up to $25,000 to Stations for coverage of issues of local concern that are also of national interest in the 2008 election cycle. Applicants are encouraged to partner with other public broadcasting entities in this effort and distribute Content on non-broadcast platforms where appropriate.
New applications are no longer being accepted. Check this page for updates about this initiative.
