DDF funding for Round 12b projects will assist stations in the purchase and installation of digital transmission equipment necessary to (1) complete construction of digital television transmission facilities as required by FCC Construction Permits that expire on February 17, 2009, and/or (2) complete DTV transmission facility changes, whether or not the project completion target coincides with the February 17, 2009 analog shutoff.
These preliminary guidelines must only be used as an interim guide for completing a DDF Round 12b application. The final DDF Round 12b guidelines will be published on September 26, 2008. Applicants must download the final guidelines, which will include line-by-line instructions, prior to initiating a DDF Round 12b application.
