Services for African American Public Radio Stations

Request for Proposals

CPB seeks proposals from individuals or organizations for the planning, development and immediate implementation of services for public radio stations identified as African American public radio stations under CPB's Community Service Grant minority qualification (including stations licensed to Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

The goal of this initiative is to improve and increase public media's service to the American public by enhancing the capacity of African American public radio stations to more effectively

  • advance the full and active inclusion of African Americans and African American voices in public media;
  • compete for audience share in their markets;
  • become better equipped to engage licensees and local community members, and;
  • increase revenue earning capacity.
