Request for Proposals
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announces a Request for Proposal for a consultant to conduct a comprehensive analysis of San Francisco's efforts to bring public fiber optic infrastructure and utilities into partnership with public media operations in the Bay Area. Based on the San Francisco case, the consultant will develop a scalable fiber interconnection model for networking public interest producing entities. The final study will summarize the outcome and impact of a dedicated infrastructure connecting digital media organizations and community anchor institutions. The purpose of the study is to lay groundwork that will result in a blueprint that can scale nationally and enhance public service media across multiple platforms, serving a broader audience, especially those that have traditionally been underserved by public media.
