- December 21, 2010 Bidder's Conference Q&A
Updated on January 11, 2011.
CPB serves over 171 public television and 445 public radio grantees operating over 1,100 stations. Historically, public media stations have had limited access to state-of-the-art broadcasting and digital content performance data. There is limited capacity at the station-level to analyze available content usage data.
Public media programming and content is increasingly being consumed via online and mobile platforms. Public broadcasting station leadership need support systems and tools to understand and assess the usage and impact of their web, streaming and social media content in order to manage a healthy business and fulfill their local mission. Station interactive, broadcast programmers, development/membership staff all need access to analytical tools to gauge the performance and improve the user experience of public media content across multiple platforms.
CPB seeks to assist public broadcasting stations in increasing their awareness and use of digital metrics that lead to improve organizational health and engagement with their communities.
