Request for Proposals

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking a consultant to conduct assessments of CPB-supported professional development programs and other training initiatives with the goal of enhancing and maximizing support for those engaged in public media as a professional practice. Specifically, the consultant is expected to assist and guide CPB in the formulation of a strategic plan designed to achieve a comprehensive, focused approach to CPB's human capital investments. The project will include a needs assessment, an analysis of CPB's recent professional development projects, and a gap analysis which will lead to the identification of opportunities for future funding of projects that support the next generation of talent in the industry, career advancement, and personal development for professionals engaged in all echelons of today's public media industry. Further, the consultant will be expected to determine the challenges, trends and human resource needs within the public media industry, and provide a plan, with clearly defined outcomes, which will serve as a framework for future funding of professional development projects that align with CPB's digital, dialogue and diversity priorities.
