Request for Proposals and Application
In response to the nation's dropout crisis, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) is soliciting proposals from public television stations in high-need communities to become Public Media Community Hubs. Hubs will partner with local education, community, civic, corporate and other relevant organizations to create a better understanding of the community impact of the crisis and implement effective plans to positively impact the dropout crisis. CPB welcomes proposals from collaborations of public television and radio stations.
Community Hubs are expected to join or convene a community coalition, create and disseminate content and educational materials, build networks and partnerships, and work with established organizations already addressing the dropout crisis in their local communities.
Community Hubs will work in close consultation with CPB and under the direction of an Initiative Manager who will oversee, coordinate and support the integrated components of this outcomes-based Initiative which will include national and local on-air and online content, interactive educational materials and on-the-ground community and educational engagement.
Please view the online application for detailed information, including proposal requirements.
