CPB seeks individuals and/or organizations to serve as Preservation Selection Advisors to the American Archive Content Inventory Project. These Advisors will be responsible for working collaboratively, using established criteria and their own expertise, to recommend material from the American Archive inventory for digitization.

The Advisors will work collaboratively and with the American Archive Content Inventory Project manager (WGBH) to select material from the content inventory for digitization. This work is expected to take up to 160 hours per advisor over a nine-month period (ideally, September 2011 to June 2012). The content inventory itself is expected to be complete by March 2012. The Advisors will make recommendations in three installments, the first for 5,000 hours of content, second for 10,000 hours, and third for 20,000 hours.
