Request for Proposals

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting ("CPB") seeks legal advice on a range of nonprofit corporate matters for a period of 3 - 6 months, including corporate governance (by-laws, board/management ethical considerations and responsibilities), contracts, creditors' rights and compliance with the District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporations Act.

CPB was created pursuant to 47 U.S.C. 396 as the steward of federal funding for noncommercial television and radio stations. It is a private, nonprofit corporation chartered by the District of Columbia, and is not an agency of the United States Government.
