Small Station Training Scholarships

The scholarship program is intended to support and extend training beyond a public television station's normal training capacity; enabling station management and staff to access more training and professional development opportunities than the stations training budget would normally support. Based on station feedback, the use of the funds has been expanded to enable station management to have choice about how to use the training funds at both the local and national levels.

Please see the Small Station Training Scholarship Criteria for detailed information regarding history of the program, types of training, and the application process.

Selection Criteria

Scholarships will be awarded based on the quality of the training, whether the training makes a direct connection to the stated individual and public television station goals and objectives, and the likelihood that the training will garner the desired anticipated and stated outcomes. Applications will be reviewed and results will be communicated via e mail. Official notification must be received in advance of training for reimbursement. Each public television station is allowed to apply for up to 2 scholarships at a time.
