Radio Associate Producer

WGBH –FM Boston’s new all-news public radio station has a full time
opening for its local daily shows: Associate Producer.

The Associate Producer is responsible for working with host and producer to
put together WGBH’s daily public affairs show, “The Emily Rooney Show.”

Duties include:

· Responsible for story pitches and developing those pitches for
broadcast
· Selection of, contact with, and scheduling of program guests.
· Gathering background materials for host
· Updating web content
· Responsible for the gathering and editing audio material for program for
air and Web.
· Perform all administrative duties as assigned

Requirements include:

. At least 3 years editorial experience working on a daily public radio
show
. At least 3 years journalistic experience, preferably including public radio
news experience
· Expected to be interested in a wide range of areas beyond current events,
including arts, culture, film, history, science and public policy
· Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously.
· Digital editing experience desirable.
