News Producer/Reporter - Two Positions Available
WRVO Radio
WRVO Radio/Research Foundation of SUNY have an excellent opportunity for two full-time News Producer/Reporters. The News Producer/Reporters will work with WRVO’s on-air hosts to develop and present timely and creative news programming. The successful candidates must have a keen understanding of news and can conceptualize and produce a compelling program. Prepares scripts, conducts interviews, prepares extended feature content and maintains the overall accuracy of the broadcast and works easily with broadcast technology.
Candidates should thrive on a steady stream of interesting story ideas and be able to respond to breaking news. Applicants should have strong abilities in audio, research, interviewing and working on deadline. Knowledge of Central New York, New York State and the Northeast is a plus.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a background in journalism and at least two years on-air experience.

WRVO is a four station network serving Central and Northern New York with an NPR News/Information format. WRVO is located in Oswego, NY, at the State University of New York College at Oswego.
