Underwriting Sales Representative
Maine Public Broadcasting Network
We seek an energetic individual with solid knowledge of and experience in broadcast advertising and sales. The successful candidate will have experience utilizing Arbitron and other media rating research tools to make the case for support of the mission of the non-profit Maine Public Broadcasting Network.
Based in Portland, Maine, the selected candidate will solicit corporate and foundation support in the form of underwriting and trade-out grants on radio, television and the Web, as well as advertising space in Experience magazine. In addition, this individual will assist in the development of revenue-enhancing promotion strategies, tools and activities. Expectations include achieving or exceeding budget goals through face-to-face sales presentations, e-mail and phone communications. During MPBN’s fundraising campaigns and auction efforts, the incumbent may work as on-air talent to assist our fundraising efforts.
We require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills. MPBN offers a base plus commission salary plan and a solid benefits package.
