Music Director

KVNO 90.7 FM Omaha, NE

Host a weekday three-hour classical music air shift. Primary music programmer, covering a minimum of 51 broadcast hours per week. Maintain and update music library and data base listings. Maintain rotation policy, music play lists and pronunciation file. Administer KVNO's "Classical Kids" program. Host special programming and conduct some live interviews. Choose and purchase new recordings for the library. Initiate and maintain contact with record company representative to maintain receipt of free promotional recordings. Supervise part-time staff to assist in cataloging and related functions. Participate in promotional, outreach and membership drive activities as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in music. Knowledge of classical, jazz, and blues music radio programming and operations. Good radio voice and presence. Knowledge of public radio operations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good interviewing skills. Computer literate. Knowledge of commonly used radio editing software.

2-5 years experience in radio music programming and announcing classical music at a public radio station. Macintosh computer experience.
