Systems Technician I
Maine Public Broadcasting Network
We have a full-time position working primarily in our Bangor, Maine, facility responsible for installing, maintaining and operating communications and computer equipment.
Responsibilities include: providing technical assistance and training to system users, operating complex electronic test equipment needed to ensure technical compliance with FCC regulations and departmental standards, ordering parts and maintaining inventory, and related duties. Occasional evening and / or weekend hours required.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in electronic, computer or networking technology, or related field with two years’ experience. Knowledge of the broadcast environment, networking, computer operating systems and common software applications is preferred. Must have excellent communication skills, and must possess advanced skills in the area of digital audio and its utilization in archiving, Internet and broadcast.
