Talk Show Producer
KCUR-FM
KCUR-FM is seeking a full time producer for a weekday talk show exploring subjects and personalities that make up the social, cultural, news and public policy fabric of our community. This show will perform on a multiple-platform level including on-air and online. Producer will work closely with host and others. S/he will formulate show ideas and concepts, research shows, screen and book guests and will have oral and written skills that allow him/her to participate in the creation of blogs, podcasts and other digital media.
Candidates must be familiar with public radio and must have a minimum of one year experience working as a producer in radio and/or a combination of radio and web based media.
Skills requirements include computer use, editing software and broadcast equipment.
Preferred qualities include a college degree in journalism or communications or the equivalent as a practitioner in the field and a clear understanding of public radio and its mission.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Past experience in multi tasking and working under deadline pressure desired.
