Membership Services Representative

Reports to: Membership Services Manager

This is a position responsible for preparing and maintaining administrative functions and computer-based information while maintaining quality customer service related to fund-raising and membership activities of Public Broadcasting Atlanta.

Accountabilities:

  • Processes and update daily membership records.
  • Provides customer service ensuring prompt, accurate and personal response to member inquiries (mainly regarding member’s information- payments, gifts, and matching gifts). 
  • Sort and process membership mail on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for uploading data from outside vendors into membership database. 
  • Liaison between matching gift, EFT companies and PBA.
  • Handles member’s information for processing, problem solving, and customer service.
  • Orders and tracks premiums for pledge drives.
  • Process weekly check requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma and minimum of two years successful full time experience as a clerk with same or comparable experience.
  • Experience with bank reconciliation, charge processing, matching gift processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and customer service a plus.
  • MS office, some spreadsheet application knowledge.
  • Typing: 50 WPM with consistent accuracy.
  • Must have excellent organizational, letter writing skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be professional, timely and have excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of superior customer service.

Necessary Skills and Abilities

  • Motivated, creative and organized self starter and team player.
  • Able to handle multiple projects and demonstrated time management skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor is required.
  • Ability to file and perform data entry.
  • Ability and experience in operating computer-based record keeping systems.
  • Ability to handle clerical tasks requiring considerable attention to detail.
