WNIN-TV/FM in Evansville, Indiana, seeks a strong, experienced leader to serve as President and CEO. WNIN-TV/FM has an annual budget of $2.1 million, 16 full-time and 14 part-time staff members, and approximately $5,000 individual members/contributors.
Major areas of responsibility include development and implementation of effective strategic and tactical planning in coordination with the Board of Directors; oversight of electronic media programming, services, and operations; ensuring sound fiscal planning and budget management; effective staff leadership and supervision; fund development; and serving as the primary liaison to the community and the greater Tri-State area.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant academic discipline, with an advanced degree desirable; a minimum of ten years senior management experience; successful strategic and financial planning, fundraising, and governmental relations experience; exceptional interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills; the ability to inspire and earn the respect of a diverse staff; outstanding written and oral communication skills; a demonstrated commitment to EEO and workplace diversity; personal and professional integrity; understanding and appreciation of the Evansville and Tri-State area, and enthusiasm for being WNIN's principal advocate and public persona.

Primary duties include:
- Provide leadership to achieve WNIN’s mission and strategic goals, plans and policies to assure the highest quality service to the Tri-State community (Evansville, Indiana with coverage into Kentucky and Illinois).
- Lead the station’s relationship with the volunteer Board of Directors, Board Committees, and its members.
- Provide essential fundraising skills with the ability to build relations with, and successfully solicit, major donors, local and national foundations, grants and national underwriters.
- Develop strong partnerships necessary for successful fundraising, business development and advocacy across the organization, including cultivating city, state and national governmental funding and support and growing the membership base.
- Represent WNIN’s interests with key national organizations such as Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Association of Public Television Stations, Public Broadcasting Service and the FCC.
- Lead the development and implementation of a new vision for WNIN that will ensure its long-term viability and success, while adapting to the changing public broadcasting operating model.
- Provide oversight and direction of station services and operations and develop policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, sound financial management, transparency, integrity, and long-range planning, with a focus on employee and leadership development.
- Guide the process of developing entertaining and educational programming that supports WNIN’s overall mission.
- Create an atmosphere that encourages collaboration, teamwork, creativity and pride in professional achievement, while managing, directly or through key senior staff members.
- Ensure efficient use of existing and future resources with regular monitoring of industry trends, technologies, digital distribution platforms and oversee acquisition, implementation, maintenance and replacement of the station’s technologies.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to conceive, develop and grow new services or products, which will support WNIN and its future needs.
- Ensure compliance with all FCC rules and all regulations pertaining to WNIN’s non-profit 501(c)3 status.
