Program Host/Feature Producer

KRPS-FM

KRPS, a non-profit NPR news, classical music, and jazz radio station licensed to Pittsburg State University, seeks a dynamic individual committed to working as part of a progressive and professional broadcast team.

 

Duties include hosting a daily on-air shift, reporting on and producing local features, participating in station fundraising. Some travel will be required.

 

The salary range for this position is $28,000 to $30,800, plus State of Kansas benefits.

 

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in broadcasting or a related field; a strong, demonstrable on-air presence with conversational on-air delivery; demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; the demonstrated ability to function independently and effectively in a time sensitive environment; ability to positively take direction and feedback from supervisors and constituents.

 

A background check and a credit check are required for this position. Position is contingent upon funding.
