Vermont Public Radio is searching for a talented Broadcast Engineer with five or more years of experience to join our team. As part of VPR’s Engineering Department, you'll work with a team of experienced professionals on a variety of projects across VPR’s broadcast coverage area (Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire), with a primary emphasis on broadcast transmission systems.

The Broadcast Engineer will help maintain and improve VPR's broadcast network to ensure consistent and reliable service to our listeners. You'll work a variety of functions related to transmitter construction, transmitter maintenance, regulatory compliance, and property management. The Broadcast Engineer will also contribute to the overall mission of VPR by cooperating on shared projects and tasks.

The ideal candidate should have direct experience with electronics, radio frequency transmission, property and vehicle maintenance, and safety issues. Knowledge of and experience with FCC rules and regulations are essential. The position requires extensive travel throughout Vermont and some travel outside of the state. This is a full-time position with full benefits. Annual salary range is $45,000-$55,000. A valid driver’s license is required.
