Primary Duties

The Digital Content Producer (DCP) collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and departments to create informative and engaging experiences for our digital audience. This position reports to the Director of Digital Content and assists the Director in managing user experiences of our web and mobile platforms by defining, building, and optimizing experiences to help drive engagement and listenership. The DCP will actively exercise quality control of capradio.org, while integrating our content and media. The DCP will help develop our community of listeners and enhance the popularity and accessibility of our content, while supporting CapRadio’s overall mission.

Qualifications

The position requires strong verbal, written, and proofreading skills. The ideal candidate is team oriented with a professional demeanor; innovative, and able to juggle projects simultaneously with poise and a positive attitude. Candidates should have excellent organizational and time management skills, coupled with the proven ability to problem solve, set priorities and manage deadlines. Applicants must exhibit effective communicative and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be adept in CMS applications, Adobe Creative Suite and HTML/CSS. Bachelors degree in a related field and/or three years of experience in a similar capacity. Public broadcasting experience is preferred.

Familiarity with Capital Public Radio and its programs is a plus.
