Media Technician

This fulltime position performs complex technical functions and executes advanced production skills to complete tasks that often require extensive problem solving, technology competency and creativity, especially within live broadcast radio engineering. The ideal candidate should have a diverse background in multimedia technology, the ability to learn quickly, and the temperament to work collaboratively and succeed in a high pressure environment. Candidates for this position should have at least five years of professional radio engineering and media experience with an emphasis on live on-air mixing and the utilization of state of the art audio equipment and techniques. This position requires a knowledge of basic principles of electronics, radio production, and media distribution along with an in-depth knowledge of audio technology. The Media Technician must be able to confidently use computers to manage, convert and edit files, and author CD’s and DVD’s, and must possess the artistic ability to achieve the best sound quality possible while operating equipment used in studios or during remotes for recording, mixing and editing audio for local and national distribution on radio, TV, internet and portable devices.
