Opportunity to oversee news and information programming; responsible for the structure and strategy that will ensure WKSU remain crucial part of Northeast Ohio's context, understanding, and sense of community.
Position includes overall direction and planning, hiring, training, coaching, editing and story conceptualizing and working with other departments at the station and in the community to broaden and deepen our reach. Will develop and set daily, weekly, and long-term scheduled stories to ensure a balance of coverage that includes breaking news and contextual features; manage vacation and holiday schedules to maintain coverage of on-air shifts and/or news coverage. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism or relevant field and four years of relevant experience, including newsroom management experience. Must posses broadcast-quality voice.
