Data Analyst
WHYY
This position is responsible for retrieving and analyzing digital media and web data in order to create actionable plans to improve WHYY's online presence and accessibility to its current and future audience. Duties of this position include reporting on the trends of the NewsWorks.org and WHYY.org user; conducting testing to track behavior and preferences of users in order to optimize NewsWorks and WHYY sites; researching and analyzing NewsWorks and WHYY sites in order to ensure Search Engine Optimization; developing statistical models that aid in identifying likely targets to become members of WHYY/NewsWorks; and working with the Social Media Editor to create and track metrics for the success of our social media strategy. All candidates must have at least two to five years of experience working with digital media analytics in a role in which they used clickstream analysis tools, and tracked and analyzed user habits and preferences on the web. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills in order to work closely with non-technical minded coworkers, and must have the ability to work in a high pressure, deadline driven environment. A bachelor's degree in statistics, marketing, business analytics, or a related discipline is required. Please submit a cover letter as well as a resume as one file where the resume is requested.
