Indonesia: Battleground for the Soul of Islam
Many Americans may not know that Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim nation. In fact, more Muslims reside in Indonesia than in all Arab countries combined. It is also a fledgling democracy. Since 9/11, Indonesia has had to deal with several serious terrorist attacks and has faced extraordinary challenges to its ability to govern and fight terrorism. This film explores Indonesian culture and government and asks whether it can serve as an example to other Muslim nations.
