The Trouble with Islam

This 60-minute film is loosely based on the best-selling book, The Trouble with Islam. The film features author Irshad Manji, an energetic and charismatic figure, who has concluded that the trouble with Islam is that it suppresses questions and debate about its traditions and doctrines. The film follows Manji as she travels to a number of Muslim countries to explore whether the lost tradition of free-thinking known as "itjihad" can be revived.
