Melissa Giraud, a teacher turned public radio producer, will weave archival recordings, stories and letters from her first 4th grade class of mostly Mexican-American children together with contemporary audio from the same students who now are 18 years-old. The limited, short-form radio documentary series will reveal individual stories about fitting in and growing up in America.
