Eyes on the Prize
A national community and educational outreach campaign to bring a new generation of viewers to the landmark civil rights series Eyes on the Prize, that was rebroadcast in fall 2006. This one-of-a-kind project will create a unique collaborative partnership among the National Black Programming Consortium, Facing History and Ourselves, Outreach Extensions, and the film's production company, Blackside, Inc. The partnership will use oral history as an organizing principle to connect to and work with historically black colleges and universities, public television stations in developing program-related events in their communities, and creating series-based educational materials.
