Secret Life of Girls Around the World
The Secret Life of Girls is a new radio series from the award-winning Kitchen Sisters, who have captivated public radio listeners with their series Hidden Kitchens and Lost and Found Sound. This new series uses the stories of girls and women to explore universal themes, such as education, family, rites of passage, and artistic expression. The sound-rich journeys will span a range of eras and cultures and will include stories suggested by listeners who call a project hot line. The two-year, multiplatform project will produce stories for NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered and create an interactive multidimensional Web site.
