A Place of Our Own: The KCET Early Childhood Education Initiative
A Place of Our Own combines a broadcast series, hands-on workshops within the community, and an interactive Web site to address ways in which parents and other at-home childcare providers can help children aged 5 and younger acquire cognitive, social, emotional, and physical competencies, while at the same time nurturing language, literacy, and numeric development.
