Ready To Learn: Reading Research Coordination
The Ready To Learn initiative requires scientifically based research to help design and evaluate effective interventions for the target population, which includes children as well as their parents, caregivers, and educators. Fran Lehr's scientifically based reading research includes collecting, monitoring, and coordinating Ready To Learn research as it pertains to the appropriate attributes for learning to read and the age appropriateness of content. Lehr will articulate how the project collectively interweaves content into a comprehensive framework for helping kids learn to read. This tool will be called the Ready To Learn Literacy Framework.
