NBPC Technology Now Conference
A technology and new media leadership summit and workshop co-presented by NBPC and WGBH in Boston that brought digital leaders together with public broadcasting and minority producers to establish a dialogue on creating partnerships to reach general and underserved audiences using multiple platforms. The training workshop will be the culmination of online work conducted by five teams, with each team including at least one producer nominated by each of the national minority consortiums. The summit and workshop will conclude with the presentation and syndication of the multiplatform projects created by the producer teams. This first event will lay the groundwork for the launch in 2007 of an annual new media training institute for minority producers, to raise the profile of public broadcasting's national minority consortiums in public and commercial media, and to continue to develop new outlets and delivery systems for minorityproduced programming content.
