Jean-Michel Cousteau: Ocean Adventures II

The Jacques Cousteau legacy continues with his son, Jean- Michel, and grandchildren Celine and Fabien. Season II will feature a two-part program, one hour each, exploring the Amazon and its impact on the world's ecosystem. The Cousteau team will travel to the world's largest rain forest to delve into the complexity of the Amazon River basin from below the water, topside from the forest canopy, and above ground where eco-tourism and human development have brought change. Season II will also include a one-hour program on crustaceans and a one-hour program on the endangered white, or beluga, whales. Shot in high-definition video, each program will capture natural habitats and creatures in ways that will showcase public television's digital technologies. The mission-driven project includes extensive promotional, educational, and community outreach, and station relations elements.
