Public Health Initiative

Four two-hour specials devoted to U.S. health issues, with extensive related outreach, promotion, and Web resources, form the cornerstones of public television's health initiative, which follows the six-hour Nova science unit's Global Health series. Each program is a 90-minute documentary relating intensely human and dramatic stories with a backdrop of new medical and scientific information, followed by a 30-minute studio question-and-answer session hosted by a celebrity who is associated with the subject.
