Between the Lions: A Digital Literacy Initiative
Mississippi Public Broadcasting, in partnership with WGBH, launched this initiative for preschool teachers and child-care providers with two components: an introductory component to model how to use Between the Lions segments to develop early literacy skills in young children, and a more advanced course to cover early literacy pedagogy and methods that incorporate digital media into preschool activities. This initiative also includes the Barksdale Reading Institute and the Early Childhood Institute at Mississippi State University as collaborators.
