ISIS

Integrated Station Information System

Login and Security Group Information

Username and Password

You will use your old SGMS username and password to log online. If you do not remember your username and password, click on the appropriate links on the login page for assistance. You may have to use your scroll bar to scroll down and view the lost username and password links located just below the security notification text on the login page.

Security Groups

With the exception of the online directory administrator, all of the SGMS security groups will carry-forward into ISIS. This means that if you were a grants administrator, head of grantee, licensee official or independent accountant in SGMS, you will have those same security privileges within ISIS.

The security rights of the former online directory administrator role to add and update user profiles and assign security groups will now be handled by all existing security groups except the independent accountant. This means that you no longer have to fill out designation forms and fax them to CPB.

Important!

We have taken extensive steps to ensure the integrity of all data imported from the predecessor system, SGMS.

We ask that you validate one your Security Group information in ISIS

You will be required to validate this data as a required step before you can complete the AFR/FSR submission process. Make corrections wherever necessary.

What you will be able to do in ISIS later this fall

You will have access to execute the following reporting requirements:

  • 2007 Radio and Television Station Activities Survey (SAS)
  • 2007 TV Station Activities Benchmarking Survey (TV-SABS)

New Features

Easier Printing

There will be a print button on every page where appropriate. You will also be able to print the entire AFR/FSR without having to open each individual schedule separately.

Expand and Collapse Data

You will be able to collapse and expand certain sections of data on a page, allowing you to view either all or a portion of the data.

Easier Data Entry

Instead of using the yellow 'Other' buttons to open a new sub-window in SGMS, you will be able to enter additional lines of financial data within the AFR Schedule or Worksheet itself. Data entry fields will be clearly distinguished from pre-populated fields on all financial forms.

Consistent Pop-up Messages

Messages will confirm what you are doing online and alert you to possible errors.

Enhancements

Say "Goodbye" to AFR Schedule A-1

Grantees will report revenue on Schedule A as usual but will be able to use tools embedded within Schedule A to exclude revenues that do not qualify as NFFS.

Schedule Improvements

Schedule C and Schedule D will work in much the same way as Schedule A, by including a line for reporting in-kind contributions that do not meet the NFFS reporting criteria. This will allow CPB to record total in-kind revenues as they are reported in your audited financial statements -- even those that do not qualify as NFFS -- and still exclude revenues from NFFS when appropriate. This will eliminate many of the reconciling items that you have had to enter in Schedule F.

Schedule F

Licensees that use Schedule F to consolidate each AFR to a combined set of audited financial statements for more than one grantee should find it much easier to create the parent/child relationships among the grantees.

Say "Goodbye" to Multi-Step Submissions

Say "Goodbye" to a Multi-Step Process for Submitting Your AFR or FSR. You will complete all AFR or FSR processes first -- the Schedules and Signature Page, together with any optional forms as necessary -- then submit the complete package to CPB with one click of the button.

ISIS Made Simple

Because ISIS will incorporate most of the standard features with which you are already familiar, as well as offer a variety of new features and enhancements, we believe you will find it easy to navigate through many of your online processes. We have extensive "Help" files to guide you along.

Public Broadcasting Directory

Because the public broadcasting directory was dependant on each individual grantee's ability to continuously update the information, maintaining the Directory was a challenge. As a result, we are not currently maintaining the Directory within ISIS. CPB is exploring the optimum way to provide this information in the future.
