Request for Proposals

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) seeks legal advice and assistance concerning online transmission of sound recordings by public media entities, as well as pending Section 114 proceedings before a Copyright Royalty Board at the United States Copyright Office. Activities will involve analysis of reported music use during an historical several-year period, advice with respect to potential future music use reporting obligations, and assistance with licensing negotiations. CPB will retain the legal services provider for period of three to six months, which may be extended by agreement of the parties for an additional term of three to six months.
