Job Description:

Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Online Training Specialist to work in APT’s Education Division.  The person in this position will work as part of a team to develop and facilitate online training classes for early childhood providers. The position involves occasional in-state travel, some evening and weekend work and occasional lifting of boxes of training materials.


Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education, child development, or related field. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong computer and technology skills and experience developing educational materials. A valid Alabama driver’s license. Preferred:  Experience developing online educational content in a learning management system and facilitating training for adult learners in an online setting; three years’ experience working in a preschool, kindergarten or in the primary grades.


The starting salary range is $35,457.60 – $40,065.60 annually.  A benefits package is also provided. NO PHONE CALLS/FAXES.  This is a 2-year grant funded position with the APT Foundation.  APT is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
