Hourly Rate: $34.00 - $35.00

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Install, maintain, repair and monitor broadcast and production equipment: master control, servers, cameras, routing switchers, converters, monitoring, satellite reception, distribution, and test equipment
• Create and maintain systems documentation
• Create and implement preventive maintenance schedules
• Collaborate with Engineering team to design broadcast and production systems
• Order and maintain inventory of supplies
• Support network, media storage, archive and edit systems in broadcast and production environments
• Analyze, diagnose and repair broadcast servers and network systems as needed
• Follow best practices for maintaining the security, availability and integrity of broadcast and production media systems and data
• Must be able to communicate effectively within the Engineering department and with other departments as necessary
• Work with Producers, Directors and Production Managers to identify technical production requirements
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, contractors, and broadcasters
• Train others to use broadcast audio/video and computer equipment and systems
• Function as Engineer-in-Charge (“EIC”) during studio and remote productions, and post production
• Collaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of the CPM

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Advanced working knowledge and ability to operate and maintain audio, video, broadcast electronics and computer based systems required
• Understanding of a broad range of computer operating systems, applications and hardware required
• Working knowledge of IPv4 layer 2/3 networking technology including NAT and network hardware required
• High power RF and CAD skills preferred
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical fabrication techniques preferred

EXPERIENCE

• AA degree in electronic technology from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience required 
• Five years’ experience in broadcast television or equivalent required 
• Two years’ experience as an EIC for studio or remote productions required
• Project Management experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 30 pounds required
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable means of transportation to meet requirements of the job 
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools and various machines
• Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed
